It’s important to make a good first impression.  When you have visitors at your office, the front entrance is the first thing they’ll see.  Take a moment to check out your entryway.  Look up, down and all around to make sure that it’s clean, clutter free and safe.

  1. Make it shine.  Check your doors and windows for smudges and smears and make sure door handles are clean.  Your lobby or reception area should be dust free and have a pleasant, but not overpowering, scent.  Make sure your furniture and carpet isn’t worn and check the walls and floor for scuff marks or damage.
  2. Reduce the clutter.  A tidy space is a calm space.  Purge any outdated material.  Make sure you don’t have overflowing trash cans by the entrance.  With cold weather approaching, keep shovels and bags of salt in a discreet location.  You want it easy to get to but not the first thing your guests see.
  3. Safety is key.  When the days get shorter, your entrance needs to be properly lit and address any burnt bulbs or broken light fixtures.   Take note of the floor mats.  They should be able to absorb wet weather and should be securely in place to prevent slips and trips.  Regularly tend to dirty mats.

City Wide Maintenance is here to help you make a great first impression and carry that look from the entryway to your entire office space.  Talk to your City Wide Maintenan
